 On now every week! The Kamloops Farmers Markets are back! Local produce, herbs, baked goods, honey, flowers, crafts and more for sale from local farmers. Downtown Kamloops: Saturdays: 200 Block St. Paul Street from 8am - 12pm Wednesdays: Victoria St., between Fourth Ave and Fifth Ave from 8am - 2pm This year, students have created images surrounding the theme of Food Security and Local Food Supply. Over 80 students at SKSS were introduced to many issues surrounding the themes from local food advocate, Andrea Gunner of Heartland Foods. Local chef Donavan Cavers of Conscientious Catering, who relies on seasonal, local, and fair trade ingredients, will be providing food the event. The exhibition of student artwork will be held on June 6th at the Saturday Farmers Market. North Shore: Fridays: In Spirit Square, behind Cowboy Coffee, from 4:00pm - 8:00pm, in conjunction with the weekly North Shore Music in the Park, coming soon. Children’s Activites each week at the North Shore Market include: face painting, storytelling, craft sessions, a drumming circle, and a theatre troupe. |
